Howard County Gas Prices Among Highest in the State

The unfortunate trend of rising gas prices continues. Filling up at the pump at over $3 a gallon seems to be expected as of lately.

According to the AAA Howard County rates are among the highest across the state for average gas prices boasting numbers between $3.16-$3.28 per gallon. Both Montgomery and Little River County follow suite in that category. In fact a significant portion of southwest Arkansas is detailed in the top 2 most expensive price ranges.

Much of the central and north western portions of the Natural State are enjoying the best average prices between $2.93-$3 per gallon. Arkansas as a whole does rank significantly lower than the national average coming in at $3.42/gallon as per data given by the AAA on November 9th.

Where prices go from here anyone could speculate about. And for those that do, such as Patrick De Haan, a petroleum analyst for Gas Buddy. De Haan believes we’ll see a “tiptoe” of lower prices come in over the next few weeks due to a price point of $80 per barrel and a slight bump in November production.
