Scrapperette basketball team to play in state championship game Saturday in Hot Springs
For only the second time in program history, the Nashville Scrapperettes are getting ready to play for a state basketball championship. Nashville is set to battle Farmington Saturday evening in Hot Springs. The Scrapperettes advanced to the finals by defeating Pulaski Academy in a double overtime game on Monday. Since taking a little time to enjoy that victory, the squad has been continuing their practice schedule this week. Even though tomorrow will be the biggest game the team has played in their careers, Head Coach Paul Dean says he expects the team to go out perform the way they have all season:
Nashville and Farmington have been ranked as the top teams in 4A basketball all season, with just three combined losses all season:
B99.5 will have the live radio coverage, with Saturday’s tip-off scheduled for six o’clock.
This afternoon, the public is invited to a community pep rally to support the Scrapperettes. It begins at 5 o’clock in Scrapper Arena.
