Nashville’s Sears Hometown Store closing in July
The Sears Hometown Store in Nashville has announced plans to close. Owners Charles and Joyce Pinkston made the announcement over the Memorial Day weekend. Joyce Pinkston says Sears has a longtime history in Nashville, that dates back to the 1950’s. The Pinkstons have owned the existing store since 2014 and relocated it from the South Park Shopping Center to its present site on South 4th Street. She said changes in some philosophies by Sears management and the fact that merchandise has been difficult to get helped in making the decision to close the store.
The couple also owns Little Red Schoolhouse and and say they will devote their attention to that, once the Sears store closes in July.
