Mineral Springs City Council Meets

Full time employees in the city of Mineral Springs will receive a 500 dollar bonus this month. At Tuesday’s city council meeting, aldermen voted to provide the bonus during the last pay period of this month. 8 employees will receive the extra compensation.
Council members have started the budgeting process for 2020. A major expense anticipated next year will come from the water department where 600 thousand dollars will be spent on tank restoration. The city is still in the process of trying to borrow money for the project. As a result, final approval of the proposed budget was postponed until the council’s December meeting.
