HCDF inmate charged second degree battery
An inmate of the Howard County Detention Facility is being charged with Battery in the second degree. According to the affidavit Jailer Anakaren Juarez was conducting her normal duties while working in the Howard County Detention Facility. It was reported that while Juarez was passing out medication, the inmate who was identified as 22-year-old Xavier White allegedly became agitated and started kicking the cell door and causing a disturbance. While Juarez was attempting to get White to sign for his medicine, it was reported White grabbed Juarez’s left hand through the bean hole and began squeezing her hand very tightly. Juarez then reportedly screamed at White to let her go and started punching his hands. After the incident, there were imprints on the jailer’s fingers and Juarez also received a cut on her hand during the incident.
