Nashville Man arrested for drug possession
On July 12, 2023, members of the Nashville Police Department executed a search warrant at 622 South Front Street. Items discovered during the warrant include: approximately ½ pound of suspected marijuana, various paraphernalia, to include vacuum seal bags, plastic zip style bags, and digital scales. Officers also located a Taurus 9mm pistol with the magazine and eleven rounds of ammunition, a stolen street sign from the City of Nashville and $2499.00 in US currency.
Malcom Jerome Smith, B/M, age 60 of Nashville, was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with the following:
Simultaneous Possession of Drugs & Firearms
Maintaining a Drug Premises
Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons
Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Theft by Receiving
Proximity to Certain Facilities
Officers involved in the warrant were Investigator Mark Barnes, Officer Jarrett Rogers, Officer Hector Cortez, Officer Justin Garner, Officer Mike Hale, and K9 Officer Greg Parker.
