District Governor of Rotary District 6170 speaks at Nashville Rotary Club
Wednesday afternoon, the District Governor of Rotary District 6170, Emil Woerner joined the members of the Nashville Rotary Club.
Woerner was an engineer in the paper industry before becoming an ordained Lutheran minister in 2012.
Woerner joined Rotary Club in Bryant after getting involved in their ‘Kids Closet’ program.
Woerner commended the Nashville Rotary Club for their work, especially with the Howard County Children’s Center telethon. He also stated Rotary International President Gordon McInally wants to encourage local Rotary clubs to help restore hope in their communities. McInally is also encouraging local clubs to promote mental health and wellness.
Woerner said local Rotary clubs should increase their impact, expand their reach, enhance participant engagement and increase our ability to adapt
Woerner told Rotarians to never underestimate what they can accomplish.
Woerner said when you meet a Rotarian you make a friend and he challenged Rotarians to be a friend to the world.
The Nashville Rotary Club meets every Wednesday at noon at Patacakes. Jonathan Lance is the 2023-2024 club president.
