Flood Damage Repair Continues At City Lake
The city of Nashville has repaired most of this summer’s flood damage at the police and fire departments. Now, the focus is being placed on damage at the Lake Nichols spillway. Mayor Billy Ray Jones says floodwaters undermined a portion of the spillway. To help pay for the project, the city has been awarded a 623 thousand dollar loan from the Arkansas Department of Agriculture. State disaster money will also be used to help return the spillway to its pre-disaster condition. Mayor Jones said the city is not anticipating having to use the full loan amount.
