Howard County Economic Development Board elects officers

The Howard County Economic Development board met Wednesday morning to approve their by-laws and to elect officers.

Paul Britt was elected chairperson. Charles Smith was elected the vice-chair and Andi Reeves-Green was elected secretary/treasurer.

Board members amended the presented by-laws to state that any monetary or property contribution to the foundation would give the person, business or company a foundation membership.

The board will meet the fourth Thursday of each month at 11 am on the Nashville campus of UA Cossatot. The boards next meeting is Thursday, January 25.

The Howard County Economic Development foundation will be called Developing Howard County Foundation and the named will be filed with the Arkansas Secretary of State and the named used to file for a 501 C 3 non-profit organization.

The newly elected chairperson Paul Britt mentioned his vision for the foundation.
