Local Deer Harvest Numbers Released

The Arkansas Game & Fish Commission is reporting over 2100 deer have been harvested this year in Howard county.  Pike county has reported the most deer taken at 3128 while the deer harvest number for Hempstead county stands at nearly 2600.
Statewide, there’s been nearly 158000 deer killed this season with 140,000 of that total occurring through just the first two weeks of the modern gun season.
The modern gun deer season continues for a few more days in parts of the area.  A three day hunt will take place December 26th through 28th.
