Court Proceedings delayed for former City of Dierks employee

Court proceedings for a former Dierks city employee have been delayed until June. 58 year old Cheryl Delarosa is charged with six felony Theft of Property counts and six other counts of Abusing the Public Trust, which is also a felony. Delarosa was arrested last year, following a state police investigation into missing city funds of more than $501,000 dollars. Delarosa was employed as the Dierks City Secretary and Water Clerk at the time. Investigators determined the money was missing during a period of January 2015 through September 2020.
Her next scheduled court date is June 1st.
