Traffic stop in Pike County leads to drug arrest
On March 29th, Trooper Micah Brown, with the Arkansas State Police, conducted a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet Blazer on North Maple and East Main Street in Murfreesboro. According to the affidavit the vehicle was leaving a known drug house. The driver was identified as Dalton Eudy, and the passenger was known as 31-year-old Chelsea Haislip.
Brown reported that he had Officer Mathew Wilson with the Murfreesboro Police Department advise Pike County Deputy Brett Reid to come to our location for K-9 Deployment. When they arrived Dugo reportedly alerted on the passenger side door.
It was also reported that while officers were searching the vehicle, a large Styrofoam Chicken Express cup was found in a cup holder in the center console that smelled similar to that of an intoxicant. Officers also conducted a roadside methamphetamine test which came back positive for Methamphetamine.
Both Eudy and Haislip were then placed under arrest and transported to the Pike County Jail.
Haislip was charged with Possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine, tampering with physical evidence, and drinking on the highway.
Eudy was charged with possession of a controlled substance Methamphetamine, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Unsafe Vehicle-Defective Equipment.
