Nashville Welcomes New K9 Officer Thor
The city of Nashville is excited to introduce its newest K9 officer, Thor, who has just completed training and certification alongside K9 Officer Greg Parker. Thor, a 20-month-old Belgian Malinois, is already making a name for himself with his impressive skills in tracking, building searches, area searches, apprehension, officer protection, and narcotic detection.
Thor’s certification ensures he is fully equipped to assist the Nashville Police Department in maintaining safety and security within the community. His agility and speed are remarkable, and he is expected to be a valuable asset to the team.
Thor replaces Apollo, the previous K9 officer, who served the city with dedication for eight and a half years before retiring this month. Apollo is now enjoying a well-deserved retirement at home, having made significant contributions to the department and the community.
The Nashville Police Department looks forward to Thor’s contributions and the positive impact he will have on local law enforcement efforts. The community is encouraged to give a warm welcome to Thor as he begins his new role.
