Nashville Schools Implementing Imagination Library
An innovative reading program created by county music hall of fame artist Dolly Parton is being implemented in the Nashville School District. Kim Slayton, the district’s Curriculum and Test Coordinator, is credited for helping bring the program to Nashville. She says the Imagination Library is designed to get books to parents of newborn to school age children
Slayton says research is showing that children learn the fastest from six months to around four years of age:
The Nashville district will reaching out to parents soon with information about how they can sign their children up for the Imagination Library.
