Local Case Manager Highlights Growing Need for Foster Homes

Recently, KMTB and KNAS had the opportunity to sit down with Samantha Banhart, a Case Manager for QBHP, and Susie Berruquin, a longtime foster parent, to discuss the challenges facing the foster care system.

In the first part of our interview, Banhart opened up about the WATCH program and the urgent need for more foster homes. She shared that she receives daily packets of children who are in need of a safe and caring home.

Banhart, who has been a part of the program for several years, also described how fulfilling her role is, despite the challenges.

She also took the time to explain the range of services offered by the WATCH Program to assist both foster children and foster families.
