Scrapperettes Defeats Lady Badgers, Scrappers Comeback for Win at Scrapper Arena
The Nashville Scrapperettes extended their impressive conference record with an 86-54 win over the Arkadelphia Lady Badgers on January 24th at Scrapper Arena. The Scrapperettes showed their strength early, building a solid 42-27 lead by halftime and maintaining control throughout, finishing with a dominant 32-point victory.
Angel Watson led the charge for Nashville, scoring 21 points and earning Player of the Game honors. Her performance, along with strong contributions from her teammates, kept the Lady Badgers at bay as the Scrapperettes improved to 16-6 overall and 4-0 in conference play.
In the boys’ game, the Scrappers faced a tough challenge from the Arkadelphia Badgers, battling through a back-and-forth contest. After trailing 19-25 at the end of the first quarter and 39-44 at halftime, the Scrappers dug deep in the second half. A strong fourth-quarter performance propelled them to a 76-67 victory, improving their record to 10-4 overall and 3-1 in conference play. Top scorers for the Scrappers were Demetrus Shelley with 32 points and Kasen Morgan, who scored 21 points.
Both teams will be back in action tonight, facing the Camden Fairview Cardinals and Lady Cardinals in another conference doubleheader at Scrapper Arena. Tipoff for the girls’ game is set for 6pm, with live coverage available on B99.5.
