Howard Memorial Hospital to Unveil Communication Board at Nashville City Park
Howard Memorial Hospital’s Pediatric Therapy Center is set to unveil a new communication board at Nashville City Park on Thursday, May 22 at 12 PM, marking an important step toward enhancing inclusivity and accessibility for individuals with communication challenges.
Communication boards are vital tools that use symbols, pictures, or illustrations to help individuals with limited spoken language express themselves more effectively. These boards are especially beneficial for children with developmental delays, autism, or speech and language disorders.
The unveiling ceremony will take place near the main play area at Nashville City Park and is open to the public. Attendees will have the chance to learn more about how communication boards work and how they can make local parks more inclusive for everyone.
