Jimmy and Cheryl Power opened Power Pharmacy in April 1972 in the South Park Shopping Center. In 1977, the pharmacy relocated just up the street to 1310 South Fourth Street, where they are still located today. The pharmacy offers prescriptions, over the counter medicine, immunizations, and gift items. A service called Med Sync allows patients to pick up all of their ongoing prescriptions refills on one specific day of the month. They service local nursing homes, the jail, and the Howard County Children’s Center. Flu vaccines are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Jimmy Bailey was the first customer 47 years ago and will be honored this week for his continued loyalty.

They also do showers for newborns and weddings, including delivery and setup.
