Keels charged with aggravated assault

Wednesday’s Howard County Court session brought London Keels. 28 year old Keels of Minerals Springs is facing an aggravated assault charge for the following: On January 2nd officers were dispatched to a Mineral Springs residents after receiving a domestic dispute call involving a gun. Upon arriving to the scene, officers witnessed a man and woman on the property shouting. As the responding officer exited his vehicle, he noticed a black handgun in Keels hand. After drawing his own weapon and instructing Keels to put his weapon on the ground Keels dropped it from the porch. Once in custody, the female involved was interviewed. Her statement says Keels grabbed her by her throat while she was holding her child. She was able to break free and ran for her car. Keels followed her and began striking her. As she ran to a neighboring house Keels was reported to have discharged his weapon into the air while threatening the her. Keels pretrial date is set for April the 28th while his Jury trial is set for May the 11th.
