Nashville School Board Approves math curriculum changes

The Nashville School Board held their regular monthly meeting Monday.

Superintendent Doug Graham informed the board that the district is currently 76.7% through the budget. Graham stated that the district has an operating budget of $6,121,949 dollars and the finances look to be in order. The board approved a motion to pay the bills.

The board also approved a motion to consider a math curriculum change at high school. High School Principal Ashley Riggs explained what the necessary changes will be and how it benefits the students in the upcoming school year.

Riggs wanted to take a moment to encourage students that are interested in going into higher education to take the AP statistics class.

The board also approved a motion of the reemployment of certified and classified staff, to consider the 2023-2024 salary schedule, and the 2022 Nashville School District audit.  All were in favor of those motions.
