AGFC held public meeting in Nashville concerning Black Bass Management Program
Tuesday evening, 11 area bass anglers attended a public meeting held by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission to discuss the commission’s 4th Black Bass Management Program.
Officials with the AGFC explained the differences between the previous management programs and this proposal. This plan was created with input from the public throughout the process including a survey, online poll and an advisory committee.
Dylan Hann is the district fisheries supervisor in Southwest Arkansas. He talked about how popular bass fishing is in the state and the importance of management programs.
Tuesday’s meeting was the 7th of 12 and AGFC officials said it was one of the best attended and they received the best feedback.
Following the meeting, local angler Jeff Barfield said he that it was a very informative meeting.
