Amity man arrested for breaking or entering in Nashville
At the end of September, the Nashville Police Department took a report of breaking and entering.
The homeowner said she heard someone trying to get into her shed. The homeowner’s grandson walked into the back yard where the shed is located and saw a white male holding his grandfather’s saw. The homeowner told police she confronted the man and he told her that he wanted to rent the property.
The homeowner said the man left but returned the next day, so the contacted the police.
Lieutenant Clint Tedford arrived and witnessed the suspect throw a plastic baggy in the ditch. The baggy contained a green leafy substance, that was believed to be marijuana.
The suspect was detained and identified as 46-year-old Steven Walston of Amity.
Walston was arrested and transported to the Howard County jail where he was charged with breaking or entering and possession of a controlled substance.
