ARDot approves paving project in Howard County

The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to roadways in Howard County, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation officials. The purpose of this project is to resurface 1.2 miles of various city streets in Tollette, including Bright Star Road and Silver St.
Tri State Asphalt, Inc. of De Queen was awarded the contract at $342,247.25.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in the early part of this year.
