Area Officers of the Year

The State’s top law enforcement officers have been honored at an event hosted by Arkansas Attorney General, Leslie Rutledge. During the ceremony, Arkansas State Police Corporal Kyle Jones was recognized at Howard County’s Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. In Pike County, the award went to Lt. Wayne Epperly of the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, and the Hempstead County Officer of the Year honors was split between Arkansas State Police Corporals Corwin Battle and David Hamilton.
Other southwest Arkansas officers honored from their respective counties, included Cody Sandifer of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission in Little River County and Sydney Grant, an Arkansas Game and Fish Officer stationed in Sevier County.
