Area school district receive Corona Virus relief funds
Additional federal dollars related to Corona Virus relief is headed to Arkansas schools. According a list released Wednesday by the Department of Education, the Nashville School District is scheduled to receive more than 2.2 million dollars in the latest round of federal funds. The local district used CARES Act money for the current school year to make a major upgrade on technology in the event that COVID-19 forces on campus learning to make a transition to virtual methods. The amount of monies to be received by other districts in our area includes $1.41 million in the Cossatot River School District, $1.09 million for Center Point, Mineral Springs and Blevins districts will each get over $730,000 dollars, South Pike County schools are to receive $569,000 dollars, while the Dierks School District is scheduled to receive $373,000 in the latest Corona Virus Relief distribution.
