Arkansas State Police Arrest Two in Child Sexual Abuse Material Cases

On Thursday, August 29, 2024, Special Agents with the Arkansas State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant in the Morningstar community of Garland County. This operation followed a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

During the investigation, agents discovered that 33-year-old John Earner of Hot Springs National Park had uploaded Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) to an online file hosting service. A search of Earner’s cellphone uncovered numerous photos and videos of CSAM. Earner was arrested and booked into the Garland County Detention Center, facing 100 counts of Possession of CSAM. His bond has been set at $250,000.

In a related case, on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, ASP ICAC Taskforce agents carried out a search warrant in Nashville based on another NCMEC tip. Camren Scott, 20, of Hope, was arrested for downloading, viewing, and uploading CSAM. He is currently held at the Howard County Detention Center, charged with 100 counts of Possession of CSAM, and his bond is set at $20,000.
