Awards given at the Annual Rotary Club Banquet

The 2023 Nashville Scrapper football team was honored Saturday night during the annual Rotary Club Banquet. This week we will highlight some of the players that were recognized at this year’s banquet. 

Senior Tre Hopkins was chosen as Rotary Club’s MVP which was presented by Jonathan Lance. Lance stated that it was appropriate to recognize a leader, an athlete, who stands out and he provided stats that Hopkins had overall.

Hopkins also received an award for Outstanding Offensive Back that was presented by Coach Brian Bearden.

Bearden also presented the Team Captains awards to Kason Willard, Kaleb Halter, and Tre Hopkins.

Other awards that were presented by Coach Bearden were 7-4A All State to Sophomore Tucker Dixon, 7-4A First Team to Sophomore Makhi Johnson, 7-4A All State to Junior Roochie Wiley, 7-4A All State to Junior Ja’marion Conway, 7-4A Second Team to Junior Khaleel Canady, Team Awards to Junior Brady Dixon and Sophomore Hayden Gray, 7-4A Outstanding Defensive Back to Junior Skyler Gibson, and the 7-4A Co-Outstanding Special Team awards to Junior Alexis Brizo and Senior Tyler Brown.
