A fundraiser for the Murfreesboro City Park will be held on Sunday, September 8th. City officials say the event will support park projects. The event will also include a silent auction. The park fundraiser will be held at the CADC Senior Adult Center in Murfreesboro, starting at 11 a.m. Cost will be by donation. The meal will include pulled pork, baked beans, cole slaw, roll, peach cobbler, ice cream, and drink…also chicken nuggets and fries for kids.
Park Director Terry Jackson says the lunch will also include a silent auction and raffle.
Jackson says the funds raised will help with a couple of projects including the walking trail and the possibility of a new playground.
