Bobcats comeback and defeat the Scrappers
Monday’s 7-4A Conference baseball game between Nashville and Hope took nine innings to complete, with the Bobcats winning, 7 to 6.
The Scrappers allowed Hope to take a four to nothing lead in the contest, before the Scrapper bats came to life. Nashville took a lead, only to see the Bobcats come back and tie the score at the end of 7 innings.
Kaleb Halter led the Scrappers in hitting, going three for five in the contest. Garrett Willard also had a pair of hits for Nashville. Four Scrapper pitchers were used in the contest. Ethan Gunter struck out three Bobcat batters over a five inning stretch. Three other pitchers for Nashville each went one inning apiece.
The Scrappers look to pick up a conference win today, as they host Fountain Lake at Wilson Park. First pitch is slated for five o’clock. B99.5 will have the broadcast.
