BX3 team reports to South Pike County School Board

The BX3 team of the South Pike County School District presented their work to the school board members Tuesday night.

BX3 is a District Behavior Team, which works with students who have behavioral issues, but are not necessarily special education students. The team reported they have attended monthly meetings and training sessions for the past three years to develop a district wide website for classroom teachers to use as a resource when dealing with a student’s behavior.

Superintendent Brad Sullivan said the district is fortunate to have a team like BX3 to address the behavioral issues.

Sullivan reported Tuesday night that the district only had one positive COVID student and 15 others quarantined.

Board members also approved the 2021-2022 school calendar. The first day of class will be August 16th, 2021 and the last day of school will be May 27th, 2022.
