The two-day event, running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, is a beloved tradition for both locals and visitors. Known for its vibrant celebration of the season, the Jonquil Festival is set to showcase the blooming of thousands of jonquils, symbolizing the arrival of warmer weather and the renewal of nature.
The festival promises a variety of activities for all ages, including guided tours of the park, historic homes, and museums, where attendees can step back in time and explore the area’s rich heritage. For those looking to enjoy the festival’s lively atmosphere, there will also be food trucks, arts and crafts booths, and live entertainment. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a car show, the popular Rusty Wheels Engine show, and even participate in karaoke.
Williams Tavern Restaurant will be open throughout the event, offering delicious meals, and visitors can also explore the selection of food trucks on-site, providing a variety of tasty options.
Admission to the Jonquil Festival is free, though there is a $5 charge for parking. It’s an excellent opportunity for families, friends, and neighbors to come together and enjoy the community spirit, music, and, of course, the stunning springtime blooms.
