Check-in for 52nd Annual King Arts & Crafts Festival This Weekend
The countdown is on for the 52nd annual King Arts and Crafts Festival, presented by the Cossatot Arts and Crafts Association, which will take place Nov. 15-17 at the historic King School House. This year’s event will showcase local and regional artwork, offering a platform for both seasoned artists and emerging talents.
The King Art Show, a festival highlight, celebrates its 52nd year of bringing artwork to the public. Artists and photographers of all ages, from five to 115, are invited to submit their work for display. The show will feature a wide range of categories, including separate divisions for adult and youth artwork, as well as a returning 3D art division for adult artists.
Artists interested in participating must check in their submissions at the King School House, located just south of Gillham off Highway 71S. Art-check will be held Friday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 9 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Full entry details and guidelines are available on the Cossatot Arts & Crafts Facebook page and on their website, www.cossatotartsandcrafts.com.
The festival will be open to the public on Nov. 15 and 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the final day of the show on Sunday, Nov. 17, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. This annual event draws hundreds of artists and art enthusiasts from across the region, making it one of the area’s most highly anticipated art exhibitions.
The event also offers a great opportunity for local businesses and individuals to get involved. Organizers are currently seeking sponsors for the event. Anyone interested in supporting the show can reach out to Nancy at (479) 216-1537 or Jennifer at (870) 828-0543 for more information.
