Circuit Court Judge’s truck stolen from his residence

Thursday morning, the Howard County Sherriff’s Office took a report from Circuit Court Judge Bryan Chesshir that his truck was missing from his residence.

The truck was located parked at some apartments in Nashville near Cassidy Street. The truck had some damage and had been ransacked. The vehicle was processed and the Howard County investigator learned that two handguns and some cash was missing from the truck.

The investigation led the Howard County Sherriff’s Office to obtain a warrant for 28-year-old Xavier Melton of Texarkana.

Melton is wanted for theft of property.
