Cities in the surrounding areas gearing up for 4th of July events
The city of Nashville, along with neighboring cities, will be hosting a 4th of July celebration this week.
The New Hope Volunteer Fire Department’s 40th annual fireworks celebration is set for tomorrow July 4th! A chicken dinner will be available for $10, starting at noon. Local vendors will offer homemade items. A cornhole tournament begins at 3 pm, and there will be bouncy houses and snow cones for the kids. Enjoy live music from the Silver Smoke Band, with fireworks commencing at dusk. Join us for the festivities!
Also tomorrow, the Nashville Chamber of Commerce will host the Stand up for America event.
Executive Director Tim Pinkerton announced that gates open at 5 pm, with celebrations starting at 6 pm, and provided additional details about the event.
Pinkerton also highlighted the food vendors and some of the items they will be offering.
The Stand up for America Car Show will also take place, with registration at $25. For more details, contact Freddie Horne at 870-451-4288 or Terry Norris at 870-403-8467. Admission is $10 for those 13 and older, $5 for children aged 4 to 12, and free for kids under 3.
All activities will occur at Nashville City Park, 1301 W Johnson St.
Additionally, the Athens and Umpire First Responders are organizing their 4th of July Celebration on Friday, starting at 6 pm at the Athens Fire Department, 1314 Arkansas 84 in Umpire. The event will feature face painting, bounce houses, refreshments, and a fireworks display.
