City of Dierks upgrading breathalyzer equipment

The Dierks City Council has voted this week to sell two city owned pickups. Bids on both were asked for by the city and a single buyer was found for both. A bid of$1,641.75 was accepted on a one ton Chevrolet flat bed and the council accepted a bid of $1,325.25 cents on a three quarter ton Dodge. Both winning bids were submitted by Braden Heifner.
Council members also awarded a sewer pond mowing bid to Brett Muse. He submitted the lowest bid of $450 per time.
There was also discussion at Monday’s council meeting of upgrading the portable breathalyzer units for the police department. The decision was made to not upgrade the unit at the Police Department’s office but rather purchase and replace the existing units carried by its patrol officers.
