City of Nashville approved for a $12 million dollar grant
Yesterday KMTB and KNAS had a chance to speak with Nashville Mayor Larry Dunaway to discuss the meeting he conducted with the Nashville City Council on Monday night.
Dunaway said that they met with their engineer Trey Foster and Foster explained the rate study on their water and sewer rates, which is required for them to do every 5 years by the Arkansas Natural Resource Commission.
Dunaway said that they have to have the loan closed by June 2024 and be ready to be under construction by July 2024.
Dunaway also mentioned that there were questions and concerns from the council. He said that the council also wanted to see how the rate increase would affect the residential and commercial accounts along with his recommendation of when these rates would go up.
