Continuance Sought In Pike County Case

A continuance is being sought in a sexual assault case in Pike County. Attorneys for 51 year old LaVoyce Wilder filed the motion in Circuit Court Monday afternoon.

Wilder is charged with four counts of rape, four counts of sexual indecency with a child and two counts of transportation of minors for prohibited sexual conduct.

Pre-trial hearings are set to begin March 16th. The motion for continuance was filed because attorneys say Wilder will be out of town that date due to medical purposes.

The court also ordered Wilder to refrain from having contact with any of the victims and to stay away from their residence, workplace or school.
