Court Date set for Pope

A Nashville resident detained earlier this month for allegedly videoing a nude juvenile teenage female has been appointed an attorney with the public defender’s office. 42 year old David Brandon Pope is ordered to reappear November 4th in Howard County Circuit Court. Formal charges have yet to be filed. Pope has remained in the Howard County Jail since his arrest on October 7th. An affidavit prepared by county investigators lists Voyeurism as the charge, with bond set at $50,000 dollars. Deputies are continuing to work their investigation since first learning of multiple images allegedly being recorded on Pope’s cell phone.
The arrest and case has now drawn national media attention after it was reported two weeks ago on the radio and then posted to our station website. The interest from other media sources is due to Pope’s appearance earlier this year on the realty TV show, Naked and Afraid.
