Covid numbers updated in Nashville School District

For the first time since returning to school from the Christmas and New Year’s break, the Nashville School District reported none of its teachers were out with COVID-19 or due to close contact yesterday.
Among the student population, the numbers also continued a decline. As of yesterday, the district reported 26 students out due to Covid positivity and 37 others because of close contact.
Countywide, Howard county’s numbers also dropped yesterday to 316. Most other counties around also reported fewer numbers than in previous days. Sevier County, 595 active cases, reported the most in our listening area.
