Department of Agriculture Accepting Applications for Urban & Community Forestry Grant Program

The Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Forestry Division is now accepting applications for the 2020 Urban and Community Forestry Grant program through August 28, 2020. Grants are available to fund community projects that develop, improve, and/or promote urban and community trees and forests. Eligible projects include, but are not limited to community tree inventories & management plans, parking lot improvements for storm water runoff, and park improvements that help to reduce sun exposure.
Total project expenditures can not exceed $12,000.
August 28th is the deadline to apply for the grants and approved projects must be completed by August 15th, 2022.
