Dierks School Board accepts resignation of head football coach
Wednesday night, the Dierks School Board held their April meeting along with the district’s report to the public.
Following an executive session, board members voted to re-hire the classified staff and to accept the resignations of athletic director, baseball coach and head football coach Jarrod Fannin and assistant football coach and track coach, Philip Binkley.
Superintendent Jody Cowart reported Fannin had accepted the head football coach and assistant athletic director positions in the De Queen School District.
Board members also approved a change to the substitute pay scale for certified staff based on the district’s new 4-day class schedule. They also approved an intervention and enrichment rate of $25 per hour for certified staff and a changed the hours per day rate for classified staff to 40- hours per week.
