City of Mineral Springs accepts proposal from Premiere Broadband

The Mineral Springs City Council voted to accept Premiere Broadband’s proposal to put their equipment on the city’s water towers, this week.
Council members also voted to place a franchise tax on Premiere similar to the tax that is charged to other utility providers in the city.
Council members voted to allow city employees to drive city vehicles home because they are ‘on-call’ 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
Council members were informed the cemetery CD will mature on Wednesday. The CD is worth $76,944.10. Council members voted to move $7,000 from the CD and put it in the cemetery checking account and the roll over the remaining balance into a 1-year CD.
The Mineral City Council will hold a special called meeting on Monday, November 30 to discuss the proposed 2021 budget.
