Dierks School Board discusses purchase of RAVE Panic Button

The Dierks School Board held their regular monthly meeting last week.

High School Principal Gene Strode made a proposal for the board to purchase the RAVE Panic Button, known as RAVE Mobile Safety.

Strode discussed what intrigued his interest in the RAVE Panic button.

Strode explained to the board how the RAVE Panic button worked, how the RAVE mobile app can be set up, and what organizations have the RAVE Panic button.

The cost to start RAVE Mobile Safety is $9000 for a 3 year contract, along with a $500 setup fee.

Superintendent Grover Hill made a recommendation to use the Bond Funds to pay the RAVE Mobile Safety fee.

There was a motion by board member Justin Simmons and seconded by board member Jeffrey Mounts to accept the quote from Rave Mobile Safety for $9500 for a 3 year term.
