Dierks School Board weekly meeting update
The
Dierks School Board held their regular monthly meeting
yesterday.
Superintendent
Grover Hill stated the East Lab is almost done with signage for the
football field, the Elementary School, the High School, and the
Gymnasium.
Hill
stated that in November, the faculty will receive the first half of
the Recruitment and Retention Bonus, that was approved by the board
last month.
Elementary
Principal Lori Finley stated, as of yesterday, there were 287
students enrolled at the school and they are expecting a new student
this semester. Finley said compared to the first quarter of last
year, they were slightly up this year with 95.72% in attendance and
95.49% last year.
High
School Principal Gene Strode stated there were 242 students enrolled
this quarter and 1 returning student coming from Fayetteville.
The
board approved the transfer of a sophomore student to the Umpire
District
