District tournament time for area teams
The high school basketball regular season ended over the weekend. This week, teams will take part in their district tournaments and Howard County will have three teams entering district tournament play as number one seeds. In the 7-4A District tournament at Arkadelphia, the Nashville Scrapperettes went undefeated in league play and will have a number one seed. They are scheduled to play Thursday at the tournament in Arkadelphia.
In the 7-2A Conference, the Dierks Outlaws drew the number one seed. The Lady Outlaws are scheduled to play their first round tournament game at four o’clock this afternoon.
Howard County’s other number one seed will be the Mineral Springs Hornets, who enter the 7-1A tournament as the top team.
