Donation to Scrapper Food Pantry

The men of First United Methodist Church in Nashville donated $1500 to the Nashville Primary School food pantry backpack program at a presentation made on Friday, September 13. The funds will sponsor 12 kids for the entire year. The church also wanted to encourage other groups to make donations to help students at the elementary and junior high schools. A number of individuals have also helped to sponsor students. The group pictured includes Mike Myers, Gary Dan Futrell, Connie Mac Milum, Gerald Moses, Dr John Hearnsberger, Hollis Hughes, Ed Ryan, Woody Futrell and Rev. Daniel Kirkpatrick. Accepting the funds are Vicki Cook, Christy Young, Principal Nathan Evans, and Assistant Principal Twyla Nichols.
