Drug Task Force Executes Search Warrants in Howard County, Several Arrested

Members of the 9th West Judicial Drug Task Force executed several search warrants recently in Howard County. 

Agents with the Task Force were able to buy illegal drugs and obtain search warrants for multiple locations. Aside from the drugs purchased undercover, the Task Force seized multiple bags of methamphetamine and firearms during the execution of these search warrants. 

The Task Force was assisted by Members of the Nashville Police Department, the Howard County Sheriff’s Office Arkansas State Police and the Mineral Springs Police Department. 

So far, 5 arrests have been made with a few more expected to come. 

The five suspects taken into custody included: Michael Benson, 57 of Nashville was charged with delivery of a controlled substance. Samaj Leaks 19 of Nashville has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Delano Polite 31 of Mineral Springs was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, delivery of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Shirley Grady 64 of Nashville was charged with maintaining a drug premises. And, Da’million Lawrence who was charged with delivery of a controlled substance. 

Lawrence has been released on bond, while Benson, Leaks,  Polite and Grady remain in the Howard County jail. 

All persons are innocent until proven guilty.
