Fatality in Hempstead County claims the life of a Pike County man

A Pike County man has died after an early morning accident on Highway 355 in Hempstead County. Kenneth Davis, aged 70, was fatally injured in the incident yesterday morning.

The initial report from the Arkansas State Police indicates that Davis was operating a 2017 Peterbilt truck carrying logs and traveling south on Highway 355 between Saratoga and McNab. The vehicle departed from the road and overturned. Hempstead County Coroner David Peters pronounced him dead at the scene at 4:50 AM yesterday. The accident happened at 3:30 AM, with State Trooper Akari Alexander conducting the investigation.
