Former Coach sentenced to ADC in Pike County Circuit Court

A former high school basketball coach from northeast Arkansas has been sentenced to 12 years in prison, with seven years suspended on charges of Computer Child Pornography. 33 year old Brandon Ballard, a resident of Leachville, Arkansas, received the sentence yesterday in Pike County Circuit Court . Ballard was initially charged in early 2019 after authorities say he sent inappropriate pictures via social media to a juvenile male student in the Kirby School District. Officials say Ballard and the student originally met through a summer basketball camp.
Ballard is scheduled for a formal sentencing next week at Murfreesboro.
