Former Howard County Jailer Sentenced

A former Howard county jailer has entered a guilty plea to Furnishing Prohibited Articles and 3rd Degree Sexual Assault. While serving as a jailer, 22 year old William Mann of Nashville, is accused of providing cigarettes to a female inmate and also having sexual contact with the inmate. After Mann entered the guilty plea Wednesday in Howard County Circuit Court, he was sentenced to three years probation, fined 15 hundred dollars plus court costs and ordered to register as a sex offender.
